I successfully installed my second version of Office on micosoft new Dell Computer. Unfortunately, that computer experience hardware issues, So Dell sent me a replacement unit. I uninstalled the Office product on the computer with the hardware issues, and attempted to install Office rfee the replacement PC. I am receiving an error message on the new install that the license cannot be /19241.txt since I exceeded the number two computers of installs.

In reply to Nayana S M's post on September 22, Thanks for the reply - I did try the telephone option, but when I replied to question regarding oftice many times I activated microsoft office 2013 hup link free license and I responded two- the system responded that I had met the maximum number of activations and the call then ended and I was disconnected.

Please Uninstall andy pre-release Office software using the Programs and Features item in your Control Panel and try installing again. I've uninstalled the version of Office that was on this machine, I've used the microsoft fix-it tool to double check this, for Windows 8, both Office and There is no other version of office on this machine, there's no "microsoft office" folder in either of the Program Files folders, and there never has been, I've only had this laptop 6 months.
Uninstall Office program completely from the system and then try installing Office Professional Plus program and check:. Run the automated troubleshooter from the following article to remove all traces of the new Office installed on the system. Note : If you are using a bit operating system, save the fixit tool on the system and then run it from the saved location. Once the uninstallation is complete, reboot the system and install Office program. The link still doesn't work.
I've tried the suggestion below and I keep getting a "TechNet Evaluation" screen up and then nothing else happens. Yes, for average people it is a trial. But your Product Key should activate it to full function. Other people "in the real world" have reported that the HUP key works on it. I've received my HUP confirmation e-mail, however every time I try and log in to access the download file, I get a message telling me 'this page is currently unavailable. You assume the activation worked because there is no message saying it did not … BUT, when you try to use an application you get a warning that it must be activated. This error can be caused when you already have a not activated copy of Office installed.
The problem is, when you try to activate the copy you installed, Windows gets confused and submits the Product Key to the version that was installed first, ie the free trial. Unfortunately when this happens there is no error message to indicate there was an activation problem.
Can't find Microsoft Office in your list to uninstall? This may be enough to fix the activation problem. Or you may have to do one more activation. Was this reply helpful? Thanks for your feedback. Office was allowed on 2 devices. But now HUP is giving only Office which is allowed only for 1 device. So, you can install Office on 2 computers. If Office was through HUP program, then you will need to remove it. If you have acquired Office through another source, you are not required to uninstall Office in order to install Office products from HUP.

There are conflicting answers about whether I can install it on one or two PC's - I understand the version is definitely one PC but a lot of people are saying the version allows installation on two PC's.

Also I have been offered Office through my employer with the HUP - if I purchase this does it over-ride my previous licensed copy of Office or will I be able to keep Office on one PC and install Office on the other? I am quite happy to run an older version on one of the PC's.

Is there a way to deactivate a copy on a particular computer directly? Should I just uninstall the copy I don't need, and then re-install on the other computer? I have the same question
